adjust555 Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Been fishing hte 245 bridge for about 2 months and have caught my limit of Crappie until about 3 weeks ago. Thats when the white bass took over. Fun 4 me and my son, but not what i look for. Last night we did catch a few channel cats, one over 10lb. for my son. Any one have any idea where to drop a light and find the Crappie? Would appriciate anyideas, Thanks, Vince
sms_alum Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 How do you fish these pillars at night? I've tried rigging minnows and/or shad caught below my lights with limited success. How deep do you drop your light and bait?
adjust555 Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 I drop my lights almost as far down as i can.. I use a small hook and small split shot about 12 in. up. Drop it to bottom and crank it up at 5 turn intervals till i find them. they have been about 12 to 25 foot down.. Need to have patience finding the right depth, but once u do u should do ok.. also takes about 1 to 2 hours before the fish school.. Hope this helps Vince
