Leonard Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Night fishing has been good... not the greatest, but still catching quite a few. Late afternoon when they start the 4 units.. and run them till about 8-10pm.. the key time has been the shut down.. as the water is dropping out to the level of 2 units ( just below the big rock at outlet 2) Flies: beaded scud and scud dropper, sculpins, midge and TNS dropper, Midge and scud dropper, midge or heavy weighted scud and egg dropper. we have to keep adjusting the indicator when the 2 units are shuting down and they dropping to 1 unit the water level is up and down.. up and down.. Streamers has been doing good to.. unweighted pine squirrels, the PMS, Mohawks and lightly weighted woolies (white, grays and tans... keeping the colors light is the key!!)... on a side note... the PMS has really been hitting some 18-20inch fish on a regular basis.... browns and rainbow both.. the big tree below 2 has been HOT!!! Outlet 1 has been fishing really slow.. if you can get right in the seam of the fast/slow water (coming from the outlet and the flow of the current).. that has been the key for that area... Again using unweighted pine squirrels, also black and olives mohawks sculpins on the lower side of 1.. what has been weird.. is one color will work at outlet 2.. but a totally different color at 1... I believe its the way the lights hit the water from the dam, giving off a different tone in the water. On top of the lighter color bottom because of the "wash-out" at outlet 1..... Thom Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Leonard: I find it interesting also. Seriously. Everything you showed me the last time I fished some of those same patterns worked. We had a great time and caught lots of fish. Pretty impressive since it was my first, but not last time to night fish. Hey Michael! How about some info instead of sarcasm! Thom Harvengt
Micheal Kyle Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Since I have been going to the doctor everyday I have not been able to fish at night for the last few weeks. I hope that everyone will keep me in there prayers and I hope when I get done with what I'm going threw right now I will be able to do what I love which is to fish and hunt. I know Leonard good enough to know that Leonard knows that I am giving him a hard time. If you have read most of my poston the forum and I mean most of the post you will find that they are full of very informative information. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
