Short Morning on Taney

After diving with friends on the lake all day Saturday I had a few hours to fish on Sunday morning before heading back to KC. Got down there at about 6:00 a.m. met a buddy and we started out fishing between outlets #1 and #2. We didn't hang out in any one area too long, just kept moving looking for nicer fish. Caught a few fish apiece out of just about every spot we stopped until the fog started clearing and then the fishing picked up considerably. Early on a purple #20 Bit-Scud trailed with a purple-wine G-Bug was tops and as the fog cleared we switched over to more natural olives and browns in the same fly set-up. Big fish of the day was a beautiful 22" brown caught by my friend just down from re-bar. Definitely starting to see a few nicer browns staging around already. Had to be at work here in KC at 3:00 so I took off about 10:30 and pushed the speed limits home.

hey you guys,

what time does the fog lift off the water enouph to throw a boat on and see halfway well ?...i can't stand it much longer.

in the back of them brownies minds they gotta be thinkin about it...they got me thinkin about it too, lol.
