Leonard Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Sorry guys...im alittle on the report.. This "special" little fly did produce 17 fish ( 1 was a nice little 19in bow) from 1am to 3:30am.. Most was caught on the swing, and a few were caught throwing down stream and letting it just sit there... evening picked up a couple on the fast strip... which felt great when they would just "HAMMER" it.. in the next few nights I'll be backon the water again.. and try it a few more time before I call it a good night time fly.. Micheal Kyle Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 You have to love the bunny leech! It is always a big producer at Taney. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
Leonard Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Yes bunny leeches are.. probably would have been a good fly that... To bad that wasnt what I was using... a matter of fact... No where near a leech.. http://www.taneycomonights.com
Members troutenhausen Posted August 26, 2007 Members Posted August 26, 2007 Tell us what you can, Leonard. Are you practicing for the brown run? My guess is that it is a streamer pattern, weighted bugger? If it isn't, how have the woolies been fishing? Hope the new fly keeps producing.
Leonard Posted August 26, 2007 Author Posted August 26, 2007 troutenhausen... pacticing .. yes that what im dong... or at least tell my wife.. this "special" fly is not a secret... A guy I chat with alot in Canada told me about this fly... the only thing we did different was put it on a striaght eye streamer hook... http://www.flyfishingconnection.com/patter...Habeeb+Special/ as for as new flies go.. I have guys sending me flies all the time.. and I try them.. If they work and I use them again.. if they produce no-stop 4-5 time then I start talking about them... like this special fly... this was the first time it hit the water and wont be the last... I still have 3 flies that needs to see the water before the brown come in.. which isnt gonna be to long.... Leonard http://www.taneycomonights.com
