Trouble Focusing

Have not read anything about the 11 point for a couple of weeks now. My Schedule isn't looking very good until Oct. so I will have to live vicariously through the posting of others until then. Any reports?

I'm having dreams of my float going under! Please help!

I have a report from 8-16 to 8-17. Blue Ribbon area fishing GREAT! Fish healthy and strong. Numbers of fish caught large! Check with Brain and Ryan at the 11point canoe rental for the hot fly patterns. Change your plans Oct. is a long time off. Practice catch and release!

Catch and Release...absolutely! I don't want to pack fish around all day!! I sure wish (and am still hopefull) that the schedule parts for some fishing time between now and Oct. but as of right now I don't have any openings, though I do have my fingers crossed for a cancellation or two! I had tried to make it over to see Ryan and Brian after a trip to the North Fork a couple of weeks ago...I must have had some bad Karma...couldn't make it then either! I am rallying the troops though and will be there as soon as I can!

Thanks for the report! What were your put-in and take-out points?

Took a guide trip out yesterday and the fishing (fly and spin fishing) was very good. On a spinning rod a brown 1/16oz rooster tail and rebel crawdads produced ok. On a fly rod the Don's crawdad way out-produced everything, spinning or fly, and had to be fished deep. The hex hatch has started, so hex nymphs are working as well. The hexes are showing up in the evening around 6:15-7:30 and this may be a rare chance at some topwater on this river, given the number of fish and lower water conditions. The rises may be hit and miss, but it can be done.
