What lures are illegal in the trophy area above Fall Creek? I know you can't use live bait or dough powerbait but are their other presentations that are illegal such as soft plastics. spoons, crankbaits, etc? As an example, can I drift a Gulp worm in the current? In the past, I've only use jigs in the trophy area but am wondering what is actually legel vs illegal.

AS of March 1, 1997:

Artificial Only:

You MAY use feather or hair jigs, spinners, spoons, hard-plastic crank baits and flies.

You MAY NOT use live bait- minnows, night crawlers, wax worms, scuplin, crickets, shad - plastic baits- tube jigs, Sluggos, Bass Assassins, Power Bait, plastic worms, plastic eggs-- or prepared baits- Power Bait, dough baits, corn marshmallows, cheese; any other bait that can and will absorb scents.

Anything that is soft or smells is illegal to use above Fall Creek.

I just tell people - Hard baits & spoons/Spinners & Jigs

That is correct as far as I know.

Hard baits... spinners and marabou jigs... I guess if one says JIGS it needs to be clarified that a mister twister tail on a jighead is rubber worm material.

That trout magnet .. that thing works really well on below.. up above.. no go!
