brownieman Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Just heard on the news they have given a permit for a new chicken farm near Roaring River, Eagle Rock the news said. If this is in that watershed this could possibly be bad news...would it be in the watershed?...I'm not familiar. bm My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? Avatar...mister brownie bm <><
Project Healing Waters Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Yes, it is. And there was a HUGE fight about this earlier this year. DNR can issue whatever permit they want to, but the county gov't said they were going to pass ordinances to prevent it. We'll see... http://www.projecthealingwaters.org
Chief Grey Bear Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Looks like a done deal to me. Went by there yesterday and saw the brand new shiny buildings. My question is with all of the operations you see for sale, why doesn't someone buy one already built? Maybe the law should be that all must be in operation before another can be built. Greg Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I wonder if Tim from the fly shop near RR has any thoughts on this? Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
