My trip to Barren Fork was a cluster.  I will try it again this fall or winter and see if I fair better.  I'm a wade fisherman and found the NFWR to be tricky to find viable spots on public access.  If I can get Barren Fork checked off, then maybe I'll try the NFWR again.  

When you return to NFWR, use wet flies and fish in riffles as much as possible. It is really worth hiring a guide or renting a canoe. Wading that river is tough.

Barren Fork—I have no wisdom. Haha. That one just took a lot of patience. I probably threw 45 or 50 patterns there before I caught one.

Thanks a lot! He was in a deep fast riffle
