superfly Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Has anyone fished shoal creek down from where capps creek enters. Reports? Any trout, smallies, ect. Can you float it. Thanks for any feedback. Superfly
mhall02 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I haven't fished it in years, but used to catch about everything there at the junction of the two. Smallmouth, largemouth, and rainbows, and now I guess, browns. I ususally went downstream, not up, pretty section of water from what I remember. Used my spinning rig with marabou or small crappie jigs.
timsfly Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I was up about a mile from there a month or so back, lots of downed limbs, would be a tough float, the water was low then, it is probably a bit lower now, but the fishing was good, fished my small 6wt and woolybuggers, caught smallies, a few litte largemouth tons of bluegill and a few goggleye, caught them all on the brown buggers, #10's I think.
