Members roundtrout Posted January 27, 2006 Members Posted January 27, 2006 What is fishing like on either Short Creek or Fall Creek. Do the trout head into these waters or is it too warm? What about smallmouth/largemouth? What is the best way to access them. I'm thinking of "smaller" waters with access to the lake that might not see as much pressure but still worth the trip. Bob Bob
rainbow Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 You can't go very far up either creek before you run out of water. With the water low you can't go far.

If you were more interested in the solitude angle, I'd say try to get down on a weekday, and try hanging out in the upper area - seems like the area between lookout and rebar is almost always deserted when I'm there.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 There's virtually no pressure below Branson in the winter, at least until you hit Rockaway. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
