catman Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Anybody been up there in a while, I haven't heard of any reports lately? Thinking of heading up there around Sept. 21,22 & 23. Tim I know you say you drive by it on the way to the shop, hows it looking with all of the rain? Also from what folks say they are very, very spooky and tough. Any idea's on what fly's to use? Planning on using a little 7'-6" 3/4wt. others have said there's a lot of bank brush and tight work. I hate to drive that far and not have a plan..... Thanks I was born at night, but not last night. Odds are with the prepared...
timsfly Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 It flooded prettty bad this weekend, saturday it was bank to bank and red brown, but it looked really good this morning, I stopped and fished a bit, didn't hook up anything, the water is still high, should be good towards the end of the month, or next week, it usually drops pretty fast. It was mostly clear this morning. should have read better, flies when the water is up, san juan worms, glo-balls, larger #10 and #12 bead head hares ears, and other nymphs like that, I also do well on bigger heaiver buggers when the water is up.
