Went over to Lake Springfield with some worms just messing around catching little bluegills and channel cats. Well about 1/2 hour later an old couple was leaving and asked if I wanted the rest of their shiners. I took them not really thinking I would use them as I didn't think anything of any size was in there this early. Well put a shiner on and within 10 seconds wham!! 2lb cat nice!! well 1/2 hour later I have four nice cats for dinner. (I know what your thinking what are you doing eating cats out of Lake Springfield, I only eat them once or twice a year) Plus an old oriental guy was leaving and has 4, 5-6 pounders and was using cut bluegills as bait. Nice little day of fishing.

Good for you fish! I used to live in Springfield and used to fish there, but never really had any luck. Caught a couple of sunfish, but actually that was about it. I used to mainly fish around the warm water inlet there. Always looked like a great spot anyway!
