Members Troutdude Posted September 30, 2007 Members Posted September 30, 2007 Have seen them on the Eleven Point as well. No clue as to their identity.
Thom Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 What you are seeing is the larvae of a very large type of misquito. For more information and a picture click on this link: http://maguires.com/glow_worms/about_worms.htm I don't think they can be used for bait because they actually bite on us eventually. hank franklin Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 I think they may be firefly larvae. Web search I did was inconclusive though. Don't know if they really match the description of what was posted above. No, we didn't use them as bait though we thought about it.
crappiefisherman Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I agree with the firefly larva, I have seen them along the trails at dewey short visitors center. [ [
