flyfshn Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 hfdhoosier, was nice meeting you too and look forward to fishing with you. Sorry I missed your last post requesting the location, but you found it. jjtroutbum, you should come to one of the meetings. They are very informative and a lot of nice folks. Last night I won the opportunity to attend a rod building class. The club was given 6 rod blanks/supplies and they asked members that were interested to sign up. Had the drawing last night and I was one of the lucky 6! Fish On! Mike Utt “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. jjtroutbum Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I actually had planned on attending how ever got lost. Its all my fault I allowed myself to trust yahoo maps without diggin any further and ended up on the wrong side of the park by the dog museum. By the time I got back home and figured out where it was. It was well past the starting time of the meeting. So maybe next month. Congrats on the prize, rod building is something I also have always been interested in. Hopefully I will get to meet y'all soon. The Caddis Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Mine are ready to mail. It's a fly you all should have heard of, not too dificult ot tie, but I fish it a little different. I usually fish this behind a scud or heavy weighted nymph. I even put some floatant to keep it off the bottom. Zach, this is a top producer for me at the Illinois.
