Members Donna Posted October 1, 2007 Members Posted October 1, 2007 I joined last March but have been "lurking" since then. My husband and I began fly fishing in May 2006 and love it. In fact, he takes me to Taneycomo for a week each month to keep me quiet (ha). I also jumped into fly tying around the first of the year and really enjoy that new hobby. We spend most of our time at Taneycomo but during their generation times, we head to Cotter for the day. We have had some fun times at Cotter--fishing has been great every time except for once or twice. I've enjoyed reading all the posts/replies and hope to do a little posting of my own. Donna

Members Donna Posted October 1, 2007 Author Members Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks for the welcome! Terry, you hit the nail on the head with your post. One thing has led to another with this hobby. Now I'm thinking we might possibly need a drift boat (ha)!!! It never ends! Donna
Bob A Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Hi Donna, and welcome to the forum. My wife and I also fish Taneycomo regularly, at the Rocking Chair area of the trophy zone. If you are like us, you'll have a lot of good days ahead of you fishing with your husband. Bob A Springfield, MO
Rolan Duffield Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Wish my wife would fish. Soon after we were married 37 years ago, she fished alongside and caught a very nice trout at Roaring River. We had that trout mounted. She's never fished since, though is a lot of great support for my hobbies, trout fishing and golf. She's afraid of water though enjoys going with me. Her interests are shopping. Works for me. You folks are very lucky for the companionship. My two brothers and I enjoy a week togather on Taney every fall. We have been making this outing together for over 20 years. Thats a plus also. Rolan

Kansas Fly Fisher Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Welcome Donna - my wife and I spend a lot of time on the water together. She fly fishes from time to time, but is a great cheerleader for me when she's not fishing. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
