Forsythian Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I'm hoping Phil or someone can answer this question for me... when I look at the generation graphs for Tablerock dam, and say for example they run 1 unit for 2 hours then shut it off, how long does it take for that spike to reach Powersite? It would seem logical that Empire would then generate based on this lag, rather than allow water over the top(?). I'm trying to get a handle on predicting whether or not to bother trying to fish the Powersite tailwater, based on the graphs pinned above... thanks! Cenosillicaphobiac
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Good luck I've been trying to figure that out myself. It seems to me its about 2 hours, but thats a guess based on very limited opportunities to check it. They were suppose to run today from 7-9. I was at Powersite about 12:30 and there was a little water still going over the dam, but not much. If all was as it was suppose to be, than the last of the water was leaving in about 2 1/2 hours. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
