CMAC Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Not sure what the heck is going on...fishing for me is just fair. Did catch a lot of fish this weekend, but not very many big guys. Most shorts, with a few "just" keepers to say at least we caught a limit. All these fish were either dock or wood related. It was cloudy with a slight breeze, oh, it did rain like 4-5hrs!!! Caught fish on everything from a buzzbait, spinner and jig. Jig fish were caught flipping. Water temps. 66-70. Wish the water would cool down.
podum Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 CMAC, I'm heading down for this weekend - in the Horseshoe Bend area - any tips on that part of the lake? Your report is appreciated. Where abouts was your trip on the lake? I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Members Whopperstopper Posted October 16, 2007 Members Posted October 16, 2007 Thanks for the report. Yeah, I'm hoping that the water cools down too. I'm booked at the Niangua end of the lake for the week of Nov.4. Hope the fish are out of summer pattern by then. I'll be checking this site regularly before I go and hope to see some good reports. I see that you talk with the Table Rock boys. Theres a lot of information shared on that site by some good fishermen. Wish we could get that started for LOZ. I don't get to go often because of work, but when I do I'll be sure to leave a posting. Thanks again and good fishin!
CMAC Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 I was in the Gravios section, but either locations you all are staying should be fine. There are alot of shad in the backs of the creeks, sometimes this time of the year your better to put the trolling motor down and just start fishing.
