The vast amount of information on the internet, magazine articles, and books regarding equipment, casting, knots, flies, and presentation can be overwhelming and confusing. The Arkansas Fly Fishers (AFF) would like to invite all beginners to our FREE Fly Fishing 101 Event on October 20th from 1:30-3:30pm at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church! Qualified AFF Members with years of experience will be your instructors and guide you through the fundamentals of Fly Fishing. As the term “101” suggests, learn about: • Equipment-Fly Rods, Reels, Line, Backing, Waders, ………. • Skills – Casting, Presentation, ……… • Guides – How to hire a guide. • Women on Fly Fishing – AFF Women’s perspective on fly fishing • Fly Tying – Learn how to tie flies. The following weekend, October 27th; you will have the opportunity to put your skills to the test with an AFF Member as your guide on the Little Red!
