I've heard several reports about Fur Bugs in peach and orange, but I have no idea what it looks like.

Any pics or recipes? I'm extremely curious.

I tie mine on a #16 or smaller hook most of the time, I use left over glo-bug yarn to tie mine.

I tie red or orange thread on the hook, make a dubbing loop, cut the dubbing to length and put it in the loop, twist the guts out of it and wrap in on the hook, this will make a nice little buggy fly, don't use to much dubbing, a little goes a long way, I don't have a camera here today or I would send you a pic.

Are you kidding me?

I've been making those for years, but I never gave 'em a name. I hated the fact that I was wasting as much egg yarn as I was using, so I started saving it in ziploc bags. I've used it for dubbing on soft hackles and woolly buggers as well as on a hook by itself.

I just called it the leftovers fly. Fur bug is much better.

Yeh it is hard to throw the leftover egg yarn away, I think I have enough for a king size pillow right now :)

But whatever you call em, furbugs or yarn bugs or whatever they work well at all the state parks and taney.
