KATroutman13 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Well, I made a stupid mistake and one of two things happened. While doing some loading/unloading I placed my dual rod case on top of the vehicle we were in. Well, they were either taken while I was fishing or they fell off when we drove off. I am hoping/confident for the latter as that only requires my own stupidity and not the wrongdoing of others. At first thought, this happened at the confluence of the Norfork and the White, but not 100% sure. So, if anyone found or hears about someone finding a blue dual rod case with a couple of rods in it, I will be happy to describe, with great detail, what the case contained and would offer a reward to the person for the return of the rods. Thank you, Wes
Danimal Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I did the same thing last year at the Rockhouse access on the Kings River.Left my Sage FLI 6wt. lying on the ground in its case by the car while loading up, then drove off without it.I hope you find yours. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
mcp633 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 I've done it too. I was fishing a out of the way access on one of the small rivers in in central MO. I left my dual rod/reel case and a tackle bag on top of my car. I drove about 7 miles of gravel road back to 50 highway and got back up to highway speed and saw the bag flying off in the rear view. Open none the less! Stopped, salvaged what I could, and back tracked for the rod case. I found it in the middle of the gravel road about 6 miles back. Rods were okay. Can't say that about the reels. They were pretty busted up. None the less, I feel your pain! If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them
Members Donna Posted October 24, 2007 Members Posted October 24, 2007 I, also, feel your pain. About a month ago, I left a Sony digital camera on the truck bumper when we were leaving Cotter. Needless to say, someone got a nice camera. We all goof up! Learn from it and go on. Donna
