I will be fishing Taney from November 9 thru 12 and will have my boat docked at Lilly's and also wading in the tailwater. Any suggestions on where to fish, what to use and other advice. I fish there often but always find suggestions on recent success and failure helpful.

I just read venven's excellent report and it will be helpful. Anyone who will be down that week and wants to partner up for fishing from my boat PM me and I will give you my cell. Other wise I will be the guy fishing from a bass procrappie boat or limping through the tailwater enjoying the great fishery at Taney.

I'll be down Sunday and will probably put in a Cooper Creek and run down to Branson. From Scotty's to the Landing has been good for me over the last several trips. I try to catch a few trout in the morning and then run further down the lake and go bass fishing.

I am not sure what the trout are feeding on, but in the AM they seem to feed pretty good before the sun gets up. They take a small chrome spoon and rooster tail good and I am sure the fly guys can give you better advice if you are fishing the long rod. My best guess would be that they are on midges.

For bigger trout I fish from Cooper Creek to Lilley's. The bank across from Lilley's gave up a real nice brown for me and I have seen fish there on most every trip. The only problem is leaf clutter in the water.

If you want to play with the bass check some of the creeks. Turkey has been pretty good for me off the boat docks and Bull creek is a favorite of several guys, but I haven't fished it much.

Good luck. If you see a white Nitro 882 DC that's me.

Sorry for the misinformation. Actually I will be down to Taney from the 12th to the 16. Thanks for the info from the PMs etc. I have a little of everything ready and will be getting together with a couple of fishing buddies that week. Hopefully I will have a good report and some pics to post during or after the trip.
