catman Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Tim, How is the area below the camp ground and the concrete bridge been fishing as of late? I've never ventured down in that area. I would assume there are plenty of fish in that area I'm sure and I'm sure you would know if anyone would. Also is this area that would require my waders to fish it well? I was born at night, but not last night. Odds are with the prepared...
bobber Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 you can also fish from the next 4, or 5 roads to the right just south of the park, and yes waders will be the ticket! <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
timsfly Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 During the winter your not supposed to fish in Zone 3. If you fish zone 3 wear camo and be quiet Not that I've ever done that. So you need to go south on F hwy untill you get to the Conservation area, it is on the right, you can park there and walk down to the river. There is a cabin on the east side of the river, and just above the cabin(towards the park) there is creek bed, that creek bed is the boundry of the park, you are not supposed to fish above this in the winter. It is closed nov-feb. Bud down below there is a lot of fishing, just before the park closed down the conservation dept. stocked some browns down there. I fished it just before deer season and caugth 16 small trout, 12 rainbows and 4 browns, all the rainbows were 12-13 inches, the browns were all about 10" long. Good luck. Yep waders are needed to fish this area. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
