Brian Sloss Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Have been toying with the idea of taking a fly rod and trying to get some top water action for stripers. Does anyone know a good time of year to try this. I hear that the fishing can be awesome when they are chasing shad near the surface. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Brian Wise Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Brian, I would have to say the Tecumseh area on high water in the winter is your best bet on the fly. They will generally take a run when the water from the NFOW and Bryant get high and the lake starts to fill. I am thinking about taking the drifter out against all of those boats and anchoring when they make their run. Brian My Youtube Channel
