Daddy Carp Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 HOW DID THE LAKE AREA HOLD UP IN ALL THE ICE? I HEARD POWER WAS OFF IN WHEATLAND AND PITTSBURG BUT STILL GOOD ON THE LAKE. ARE THE DOCKS HOLDING OR ARE THEY GETTING DAMAGED? I GOT KIDS LIVING NORTH OF TOPEKA.....BAD SCENE! THEY HAVE AN INCH OR MORE OF ICE THAT DID MAJOR DAMAGE, WIDE SPREAD, THIS AFTERNOON THE POWER RESTORATION FORCAST WAS ABOUT 7-10 DAYS. THEY ARE BOTH WITHOUT POWER BUT HANGIN IN THERE. SOMEBODY CHECK ON THE POMME GEEZER! MAKE SURE HE DON'T HAVE A FOOT FROZEN TO THE DOCK OR A ROD FROZEN IN HIS HAND! LOL GOD BLESS.........D.C.
Amish Bill Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 D.C. My wife works at the Galmey church and was without power from monday till tuesday afternoon....said Wheatland got smacked pretty good but around the lake was alright. No-one has said anything about dock damage, hope your kids are back up and running, just in time for round 2. "Life's too short to fish with a dead minner..."
