Another touchy subject?

I feel that land development is silting the lake at a dramatic rate. Pollution is on a global scale. And with the discovery of the zebra mussell as well as the rapid growth of hydrilla threatening to choke off Bull Creek, that this issue should be addressed alot more seriously by the MDC.

Land development causes siltification and pollution. And litter is a form of pollution as well. So I did not put pollution in my top 3: development, rec watercraft, and litter. Couple points of explanation: when I say rec watercraft I am including ALL motorized watercraft...including boats. I don't think they should go away, but that wasn't the question. When I say litter I don't just mean paper, plastic, and glass. I mean discarded fishing line, weights, hooks, and so forth as well.

Trav - you sure have a penchant for picking the controversial stuff. But I guess that keeps it entertaining. I voted for land development as the #1. So far it hasn't seemed to affect the fishery too much. But at some point I think it will.

Try fishing roark creek after a good rain. Its like fishing the muddy missouri because of the run off from branson construction.

Rec Watercraft.....I was referring all forms of watercraft with the exception of fisherman. But the poll wasnt set up to clarify that. So any interpitation works.

And litter is pollution. Just the most visible form.

Haha

I guess in a perfect world only fisherman should be allowed on the lake. Wink
