Members vince Posted January 5, 2008 Members Posted January 5, 2008 Kind of late for Mondays report but here it is. Fished the lake above the boat ramp from noon it dark. Fished san juans, wollie buggers, scuds and soft hackles but by far the best bite came on grey and brown scuds size 14 using 6x. It was really windy and lots of short strikes and lots not short enough. It was a good catching day. Best fish of the day was a bright red bow with a hooked jaw aprox 5 lbs. Couldn't keep my hands dry and by the time it got dark I was a shaking from the cold. But those fish, its hard to leave em. Vince

"Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise." - Norman Maclean
