Members bobtu Posted January 7, 2008 Members Posted January 7, 2008 So here are my first 61 flies... sorry about the bad pictures, I couldn't get my flash to work in the macro setting... but you get the idea. I got a bunch of fly tying stuff for Christmas (well about 2 weeks before Christmas)...

It was nice enough here in KC this weekend to go out to a local lake to try to learn how to cast... It's going to be interesting on a real stream.
rcguy Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Looks like the selection I've been working on this winter. Figure I tied about 200 since sept. Now working Deer hair Caddis. You should do well on those flys. Don't forget the Cracklebacks!
Brian Wise Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Very nice job! Wish my first few flies looked that good. Brian My Youtube Channel
Greg Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I'm with Brian - my first flies didn't look nearly that good. They were pretty pitiful actually. You must have a real aptitude for tying. drew03cmc Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 My first flies were ok I guess....granted, I have been tying only for about a month and a half now, but have tied about a dozen Chili Peppers, about 18 krystal flash jigs, and some bead chain Mickey Finns, as well as a few zonker strip bass streamers.
