Roaring River In Fine Shape

We missed the heavy rains, I had 1.5" at the shop, the river is up a bit and a little green in color, but that is good, we could have really flooded. So we should still be in fine shape next friday, unless it gets bad the next few days. Hope everybody stayed safe.

Tim, thanks for posting. I was wondering how much rain your area got. I had heard of reports down your way of alot of rain! I am planning on coming down friday, will make sure to stop by the store and say hi, unless your out after them!

There were several place just a few miles of the park that more than 5" of rain fell last night, flat creek, it runs thru cassville, is over 15' higher than normal just 15 miles east of cassville, I haven't seen it that high in years.

Around Monett, and purdy over 5" of rain fell, and lots of hail, so we lucked out for now.

I stopped down at the park at noon today and they were just adding logs to the dam constructed yesterday. They were also ripping out some of the concrete reinforcement slurries. Like Tim said, the water looks good. I really expected it to be higher. In fact, I was hoping it would flush out the river a little. Dry Hollow was just that... pretty dry. My guess is it has been so dry the past few years, the ground soaks most moisture received on contact. By Friday, it should be perfect both in flow and color.
