Daddy Carp Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 WOW! It is 3:30p on 1-8-08 and I just looked out the window and was totally surprised. I looked out over Taneycomo and it was gone! I think that while I was napping, somebody brought Truman lake or one of those out of Kansas and traded. I don't think I saw water this brown even on a Kansas lake. Nope, has to be Truman. Would one of you Clinton/Warsaw boys come get your "mudhole" and give us back our nice clear Taneycomo?
Leonard Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hey Daddy Carp.. Thats not a mudhole... that is "cold chocolate"!! grab yourself a old gallon milk (perferable with milk still in the bottom.. that adds more flavor)run down there and fill the jug.... take it home and drink it straight and heat it up in the microwave,.... MMMMMMM.....mmmmmm... GOOD!!!! http://www.taneycomonights.com

LASGTA88 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 whats up with that?? what caused it and how often does that happen there.. i have been goin for years and never seen that LA
Trav Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Living on Lower Taney, below fall creek, cooper creek, turkey creek, coon creek, roark creek, bee creek, and bull creek, I see the lake muddy like this evertime we get more than an inch or two of rain. Especially if it is all in less than an hour. It is pretty normal. Wasnt so bad 15-20 years ago, but with all the land development that has been going on, the siltation has gotten pretty bad. Unfortuneley the only thing that benifits from it is all the hydrilla choking up bull creek and Rockaways shoreline. Not to worry though. The mud is usually settled in a day or so. And I will be kicking trash backed up on my dock till it does. This is when I get to see all the litter in the lake washed down from the Upper. You would be surprised how much it really is. LASGTA88 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 not surprised.. where abouts is your dock located on the water? LA
Trav Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Mile 9, close to bull creek "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
