New to Taneycomo

I've fished Bulls Shoals from several years, but now I want to get into trout. I've tried it once before, near the Powersite dam in Forsyth....but no luck! Are there any areas that are easy to get to and that will offer a good chance of catching fish? I'll be on the bank/wading, and all I have is regular spinning gear, no fly rods. And I have no clue where to start
