Members Ozark Baby Posted January 13, 2008 Members Posted January 13, 2008 I go by Ozark Baby, as you can see. I used to fish all of the time and then we ended up living in New Mexico for a decade and I did no fishing at all because Of where we lived and some personal issues. Now that we have moved back home to Missouri, Christian Cointy to be exact, I have bought some new fishing equipment, a couple of rods and reels and such. What I am wondering is how the fishing is around Springfield and Fellows Lake around Springfield, MO? I can't say that I specifically do bass fishing at all. I fish for whatever bites my hooks. Basically, I love catching catfish and pan fish but used to fish the Meremac when we lived in Franklin County and used to catch eel and any number of other river fish and stuff. We do not own a boat or anything and I usually do bank or pier fishing. Will I be able to catch anything in either of those two lakes? Hope so because I would like to practice to get back into fishing before I go down to Table Rock Lake. Ozark Baby

RSBreth Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 You don't have to limit yourself to the lakes, if you aren't afraid of getting damp, severel local streams offer great wading for smallmouth and goggle-eyes, during the summer all you need is an old pair of hikers and maybe a small tackle bag.
