trout fanatic Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 As I type this I am awaiting receipt of a new old rod. A Fenwick 837 fiberglass number that will mostly be used for local bass and bluegills. I fear I may be recklessly sliding down a very steep hill. There is no cure
TroutBum4wt Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I hear there's special medicine for such addictive issues, but why ruin a good thing? "Where There Are Trout, There's Hope" - John Gierach
Danoinark Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Hey fanatic, about all I am fishing these days are vintage glass. It does get in your blood and lots of folks don't know what they are missing... Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
TroutBum4wt Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Dano is right. My glass rod may not be vintage, but you can't beat the accurancy and smooth action. The action is very forgiving. "Where There Are Trout, There's Hope" - John Gierach
trout fanatic Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Yer right Dano and TB very smooth and forgiving. I need more. Last night, the missus came home from work and gave me the evil eye. I think she;s on to me.
