Danoinark Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I would suspect there will be generation on Taney when we get up in the morning. If so I may sneak off to RR. I need a fix. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Chief Grey Bear Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I wish you luck Dano. I get the joy of babysitting my youngun's and smoking a turkey breast and pork shoulder. I think though we may hit Hickory late this afternoon. Danoinark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Fellows, they were running 4 gennies when I called early this morning..and then looked at the temp, went outside and the dang wind was blowing like crazy here. I normally am not a fair weather fisherman, but something said stay home today. I suspected the same thing at RR, so I just ended up doing some errands and tying up some flys. Sorry I couldn't report, maybe next time. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Steve Smith Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I don't think you missed a thing Dano. Saturday and Sunday were just miserable. I would have been more comfortable fishing the afternoons, but my job keeps me fishing early morning, and you get what you get. We did well on cheese egg patterns mostly or anything bright. After the sun came up, dry fly fishing was great, but nothing to write home about. I went down today at lunch, and the park was deserted with just a few fishing. Water still has good color and flow, although reduced somewhat. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Danoinark Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Steve, thanks, now I don't feel so bad about going. I'll make it up before the C and R closes for the season. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
