Gone Fishing Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Any one know what it took to win the tournaments on the rock this weekend. Haven't been out much was wondering if the jerk bait bite was on or what's catching em.
Hogfan Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I don't know about the tourny results but I think the jerkbait bite is starting to come on. Me and a buddy fished up the White around Eagle Rock this past Sunday and had a pretty good day throwing them. We didn't catch big numbers but the ones we did catch were good quality fish. Water temp was around 40 that morning and eventually climed to 44 that afternoon.
Gone Fishing Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Hogfan thanks for the quick feedback. Went across Kings River on Hwy 86 this weekend and it was frozing far as I could see both ways. Wasn't sure the water temp but seeing that ice made me think of the sluggish stick bait fish.
Jeremy Rasnick Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 THE SATURDAY TOURNAMENT FOR THE WINTER BUDDY CIRCUIT WAS APROX 18 LBS. I FISHED THE SUPER BASS ON SUNDAY AND IT TOOK 12.XX TO WIN. WE HAD 6.1LBS WITH 2 SMALLIES. I CAUGHT BOTH SMALLIES ON A GRUB. THOSE TWO FISH WERE THE ONLY TWO MY PARTNER AND I CAUGHT. IT WAS A TOUGH DAY OF CATCHING BUT A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF FISHING.
Hogfan Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Any word on how the benefit tournament for the Shearer's Family turned out?
