ryan Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Looking for a good mossberg 935 synthetic or any good used semi auto that is chambered to shoot 3'5 inch shells
Terry Beeson Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 935 12 ga 3.5 auto? You are a glutton for punishment. My shoulder hurts from shooting a 20 ga. Mossberg. Of course I'm talking from a duck hunting or squirrel point of view. If you're looking for a turkey gun, OK. I bet you can find a good one at a good price in one that doesn't have the recoil they have. Good luck in your search. Just be sure to run a few rounds through it before buying. Members rsbcon Posted February 8, 2008 Members Posted February 8, 2008 If you don't need a 3.5" get a Stoger 2000. It will cycle 3" and has the same bolt as a Benelli super black eagle. There a great waterfowlgun. I have both the Benelli S.B.E. and the Stoger 2000. The price is the only differance. Get a Stoger you won't be dissapointed!
ryan Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 the 935 shoulders awesome and I have two other mossberg shotguns that I really enjoy shooting. As far as recoil is concerned shooting 3.5 shells for ducks isn't bad at all. 3.5 steel is 10 times lighter than 3.5 lead. I know mossberg is a really dependable gun and that they are great about repairs. I like the super black eagle and SBE II but just don't feel like spending the money for minimal differences.

ryan Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 You can get Stoger 2000 for about $375 new. [/quo Is the stoger chambered for 3.5 inch shells
Members rsbcon Posted February 10, 2008 Members Posted February 10, 2008 Nope just three's. Why do you need 3.5 for ducks? I have S.B.E. and would rather shot the stoger. They have the same action.Buy a good shell and shot three inch shells.
ryan Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 I shoot 3 inch shells now as my gun isn't chambered for 3.5 inch shells but I would like the extra punch for snows/specks/canadas. Some days when your taking 35-40 plus yard shots it makes a huge difference. You can still kill as many ducks as you want with 3 inch shells and geese also you just have to be a little more selective with your shots. I guess what I am trying to say is I want a new toy haaha. Thanks for the info about the stoger though I really appreciate that. Have a good day
vonreed Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I've had the same gun that you're wanting Ryan since I was 12 and it's a great gun. I've just about wore it out though. I need a new stock for it. It's excellent for hunting geese and turkeys. Mine is a pump though
