Al Agnew Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Just thought I'd drop a line to those in the St. Louis area to let you know I'm giving a couple of talks on Ozark stream fishing from a canoe, at the Great Canoe and Kayak Event put on by the Alpine Shop. The event is at the Kirkwood Community Center, 111 S. Geyer Rd. in Kirkwood. There are a bunch of programs going on both Saturday and Sunday. My talks will be at 11 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, Feb. 9th.
Trav Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 We are talking about fishing right? Can we really believe the sponsors? "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Brian Sloss Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Sorry this is a little off subject, but Al I have noticed a painting in the lobby of my bank here in Alton for quit a while and recently noticed the name of Al Agnew as the artist. Is that you? If so, it is very good, well done. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
MOFishwater Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Al, if you have another talk planned, please post the info. I didnt see your message until after the fact but I would have def attended had I known about it. I sat at home watching fishing instead!
Al Agnew Posted February 13, 2008 Author Posted February 13, 2008 Brian, that's probably me...what did the painting look like? (I'm the only Al Agnew--artist that I know!) MOFishwater, I'll be the main speaker at the MO Smallmouth Alliance Banquet at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Arnold on Saturday, March 8. Public is invited and advance reservations required. You can get more info on it at www.smallmouth.org Click on the link for the Missouri chapter, then on Calendar of Events. There's always a good turnout at the annual banquet, and there are a bunch of raffle items, an auction, and door prizes. I always put up a few of my homemade lures for auction, as well offering a day of fishing with me in the silent auction.
