If you are comming to R.R. today drive careful, roads are nasty, now MODOT always works the road over real good, but it is still nasty, there is about 1/4" of ice over everything, gravel, sidwalks, trees, and it is still comming down, I'm going to be down, but I'm going to wait untill this afternoon.

Fishing has been good, the water as of yesterday was great, I doubt it has come up much, but it might this morning, we have been getting some rain, but I don't think it will become unfishable today. This will be a big streamer, bugger day

Thanks Tim. I had planned a trip to the park today.

Schools are closed here in North Arkansas and State Police are working some accidents.

They described the roads as slick from Harrison to Branson.

I'll fish another day.

I got into Cassville with no problems this morning from Shell Knob, and the gravel trucks were heading down 112 Hwy, so I'd say they have treated Roaring River hill by now. Not as much ice here as the folks to the north. Roads are slick, but not unpassable, and it's now just very light rain. We fished RR alll weekend, and spoke with Leonard on Saturday. Dry fly fishing was great after the sun hit the river. San Juan worms filled in the gaps. Had a blast with brown beetles - at times several fish would try to take it at once. Tried James River Saturday for some suckers, but the James was up and too murky for fly rods.

Roads were pretty good from Monett down to Roaring River, but it is raining to beat the band, I fished long enough to get wet and catch a few trout up by the hatchery, had a good one on and he promptly got off, but I managed 3 12-14" rainbows, and got out of there.

Anyway the roads are good now, but I think it is supposed to get nasty this afternoon, it is still raining hard here. I'm heading back home and I'll fish a day when it is not so wet :)

I dropped down to the park at lunchtime, and the roads are all clear. There was not a soul fishing the park except for a bald eagle and a crane. I caught a quick fish or two again on a brown beetle, but had to get back to work. There is still time to fish if you can get here, but the roads Cassville south are all clear. We have a pair of bald eagles in the park this year that are just beautiful. The male must have a three foot wingspan or more. I hope they stay through the summer.

Zach; wish I'd ran into you. Had to leave early due to that thing called a job. It always gets in the way. Dano; hate to bring this up, but today would have been your kind of day. Midging heavy at noon near the hatchery.

Man, it would have been Steve and with the report of no body fishing it would have been steller.

Again I have kicked myself for just not going on up.....
