My buddy was showin me some of his crankbaits and jerkbaits that he had custom painted by fall creek lures and those things look awsome. Wiggle warts and rouges of all different colors, the finish and detail was really amazing. My favorite was a crawfish pattern with a little purple in it. I love a PBJ jig so I can imagin this being a hot color. I know he throws them alot and really catches some fish. I think they are kinda expensive but if anyone is looking for some great patterns take your lures to them. I don't own any myself but look forward to buying some. Well thats my two cents.

I often use sandpaper to wear off color from alot of my baits. I guess that defeats the purpose of getting them custum painted though huh.

I also grind down the lips of my deep divers to get more frustration out of them. I have also put larger hooks on my jerkbaits to get less surface rip.

Try adding a split shot 1inch in front of a spook. Makes that butt wave in the air. Also will add irritable action to the walk.

Experimentation is the key to being unique.

We have a favorite swim bait for trout on white river, but out of every ten maybe three have the right action and sound. Once we find the action and sound that works, seems the color being worn or new dont matter sometimes the more worn the better the bait catchs fish.
