I thought I would start a kid fishing topic. Post your favorite kid, grandkid, or greatgrandkid picture.

Here is mine. This is my granddaughter Kylee, who is 8. She did not catch this 4# smallie, but she bravely helped me release it. It was caught January 5th, drop shotting, in 53' of water, using a 4" Chompers Green Pumpkin Drop Shot Worm in the Dam area. Yes, they were still deep in January.

Let's post some good kid pictures for them to enjoy.

Nothing more enjoyable then taking kids fishing. When living in Illinois and the wife was doing daycare full time from home I would take all four of them to the Park Pond and they would catch a bunch of Brown Bullheads until they go tired of it. Then they would head to the swings, slides and a the climbing things and play until lunch time. After lunch they would somehow talk me into taking them to McDonalds for lunch and more playing there. It was fun and I loved every minute of it.

One of the first times we were able to get the three generations of Taylor's fishing together. One of the deacons in my dad's church in Marshfield needed some help thinning out the bass in one of his farm ponds, so we were happy to oblige. My son brought in a couple good sunfish and I think a little bass as well. Here is Grandpa and my son showing off their catch.

I have many storiesbut the one thats makes me proudest happened last summer on bull shoals, I took my kids and wife crappie fishing. My 11 year old girl was using a bobber and minnows. She hadnt had it in the water 2 minutes and i actually heard the bobber go under.kersplash.........she fought it to the boat and I figured a nice sized crappie , but to my suprise as I pulled it up from under the boat for her it was a four pound bass.Well to make a long story short , the fishing slowed conciderably and we had to leavewith only a few crappie and the bass.I asked her if we could put her fish back and she agreed.............I was proud of her .

This is my 2 year old boy. This was his first time out and after pulling up to a new spot and quickly catching 8 quality keepers in 8 casts on a FB jig he quickly became my favorite fishing partner.

OK, so obviously this was taken long before the digital camera, but it's one of my favorite pics of me, my sister and my dad.

This was taken in August of 1976....I was 5, but I still remember that day like it was yesterday. For all of you with little ones, don't think they will not cherish that time with you, I know I still do.

My dad and I still fish together at least once a week some 32 years later! I now have a 12 year old of my own, and I take her with me whenever I can, to give her the same memories I have.

Thanks, Dad!

Not my favorite, but a funny story.......Last year we went camping at Bennett Spring during spring break and I took my daughters fly fishing. Was very warm that week and we had a great time. My 13 yr old (was 12 at the time) was with me and she caught a nice bow. When she took the hook off, I told her to pose for a picture. Well.....the fish decided he was going to wiggle out of her hands and jump towards her. She stepped back and as she did, she slipped on a rock and kerplunk!! She didn't go all the way under, just enough to get her shirt wet. We were both laughing....well I was and then she started too. When we turned around, there was the sign...."Caution, Deep Water"!!

No, I am not mean.....she got me back by out fishing me!

Thanks to CaptainJoe for starting this thread. Seeing some of these older pictures on here really hits home how fishing is not just an enjoyable past time, it is a part of who a lot of us are and where we come from. I fish now because I grew up fishing with my dad, and he grew up fishing with his dad and so on. I found this photo of my father and his dad from 1950 with a big cat my grandfather caught out of the Neosho River (I think). There are stories still past around at family get togethers of my dad's grandfather and the catfish he caught out of the White River pre Beaver dam (they had to move his grave when they flooded the lake). It is a family tradition that is a joy to perpepuate.
