Remington Arms Acquires Marlin Firearms Co.

Remington Arms acquired Marlin Firearms Company in December, according to the latest issue of Outdoor Life magazine.

"Along with the Marlin brand of lever-action, rimfire and center-fire rifles, Remington's purchase also includes Marlin holdings Harrington and Richardson, New England Firearms and L.C. Smith brands of rifles and shotguns," the publication said.

Almost a year earlier, Smith & Wesson made a similiar move when it purchased Thompson/Center Arms.
