  1. Wifes out of town again, huh. Where did she go?
  2. motroutbum~ I am going for Bones only. It pains me greatly to fork out this kind of money, so I am going to wade the flats and maybe hire guide. The time has changed anyway. They decided to go in June instead, which is even better, saving me even more money by going then. Yes, I am a tightwade when it comes to vacations, especially sense their is a lot of places here we haven't seen. I have a 9 wt TFO TiCr that has yet to be used. So I am going to break it in in the Pacific.
  3. I called 911, and they hung up on me. Before they did, they said this does not qualify as an emergency. Little do they know.
  4. You will never go wrong with a North Face tent. I have had one and that thing had seen 16 different states, many rain storms and a couple of snow flurries. It was a two person, three season. The Ex bought it for me for my birthday and that slimy pig got it in the divorce. Go figure.
  5. Thanks for the update fly.flinger.
  6. hehehehe

    ADEQ

Can the ADEQ sue anyone, in monetary amounts, to collect damages done to an area in Arkansas? It is my understanding that the Governor of Arkansas (Beebe) was able to use 350,000.00 from a fund that was installed from lawsuits won by judgements by the (federal) EPA. Nothing was mentioned about suits ADEQ had filed, and one in a monetary amount. If ADEQ has sued and won monetary judgements, why was this money not made available or mentioned? Another question is. Why wasn't the EPA able to intervene if that was the case? Were they not made aware of the situation? This is what happens when it is raining, and I am not able work. To much time on my mind.
  10. Hey, I resemble that statement.
  11. http://www.baxterbulletin.com/apps/pbcs.dl...D=2007703160301 "The agreement was the next stage in the litigation process, and the court will levy any damages and penalties, said Greg O'Neal, attorney for Trout Unlimited. If Doyal fails to carry out the measures in the decree, state agencies will be allowed on the site to perform the work and may seek costs and damages for their expense, according to the decree". Does this mean they don't have to seek costs and damages if they don't want to?
  12. "Grand (applies to all tributaries and upstream to state line, and to the area below Pensacola dam downstream to SH 82 bridge) Daily/Minimum Size Limits: All species of black bass; six (6) combined per day / 14-inch minimum. All crappie; 15 combined per day / 10-inch minimum. Striped bass hybrids and/or white bass; 20 combined per day, of which only five (5) may be 20 inches or longer". Taken from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife web site. You have to go the Special Restrictions section.
  13. How deep of water were you fishing in? Do you, by any chance, know what the water temperature was? Great report by the way.
  14. Good question Terry, to which I have no answer. But from observations yesterday, I didn't notice any carcasses floating whenever I walked a good distance back to the truck. Hopefully, someone here can clarify this. Or better yet, I am going to make a phone call. Be right back. No truth that Terry. However, they do produce some lactic acid, but not enough to be a detriment to them. Fish on, Garth, I mean Terry.
  15. I am still not going to hold my breath on this issue. Wasn't Homeport fined a substantial amount by the ADEQ? Were the fines erased from the books or were they payed? I haven't found any information either way.
  16. I fished from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Most fish were caught on size 4 clouser's in white/gray with flash and yellow/white with flash. I was having so much fun I stopped counting at 30. All fish were released to fight again.
  17. What guy? All I can see is the trout.
  18. That is a valid point LMW. I was talking to a person in power here, and his statement about the Ag bill being pushed here was, are you willing to pay $50.00 for a steak. I could tell by his statement his mind was already made up. I tossed the question, what is unpolluted water worth to you? No apology necessary Wayne. I have been wrong at least once a day for the last 40 years.
  19. Take a look at the people that are buying the land that the waters run through. Then you might have an idea as to why they might pull out. Would you rather have 2000 members who pay yearly dues of $35.00, or one who makes a yearly donation of $1,000,000.00.
  20. Pulled this from another forum, but well worth the read. http://www.newwest.net/index.php/topic/art...debate/C41/L41/
  21. Just so I don't have to read the whole thread. When is this gathering?
  22. Wayne, This has not been won as of yet, as far as I know. 2008 is when this goes to trial. I could be wrong though.
  23. [quote name='Crippled Caddis' Dano may have to correct me but I believe TUs only legal role in the case was as a 'friend of the ADEQ' in the complaint. If I am correct they had little if any effect on anything one way or the other, being little more than interested spectators, much like ourselves in truth. Dano???? If that is the case, then why was there an account set up for TU, for people to contribute to the legal expenses in this debacle? And, what exactly was the money used for? The reason I ask is, when this all started in late 2005 and early 2006, I contacted TU National, more than once via phone and email, and received zero replies. Call me pessimist, but there are reasons for me to question their involvement.
