  1. "anyone ever caught crappie way up in bull creek where the backwater meets the riffle, around the lilley pads,oh and in the spring whites are in there, but dont tell anyone i said so." "aw now the secrets out & ithought i was the only one that new that How bout walleyes under the senic view but wich one ?" Now, that is funny...ROTFLMBO
  2. MTM, With all due respect. The EPA is a joke. Come to NE Oklahoma and take a look at one of the top ten superfund sites in the USA. Millons, and I mean more than 50 were spent to remediate, so the people could live in this one town. Now, after nine or ten years of spending your tax dollars to remediate, they have decided that it is still to dangerous for the people to live there. Now, they are going to spend more of your tax dollars buying these people out, so they can move to another area. But then again, that is just my two cents worth. I know you are not implying that the taxpayers should fix this, BTW. I really don't think it should be the taxpayers burden to fix the problem at Overlook Estates. I do however think it will be the taxpayers problem, though. This guy is going to fold up shop at head South with his money, and I mean way South. My guess is, most of his money is already there, since they bent over backwards to let him try and fix it. They gave him enough time to come up with a plan.
  3. Unless some good mojo happens, I have to back out at this time. Have fun.
  4. What about grub. I do believe in eating when fishing. Are we going to grill something, or do we need to BYOF. If we cook, it doesn't need to be a ten course meal. Meat and meat will work for me.
  5. Hello neighbor. Hope you enjoy it here.
  6. Thanks for the post motroutbum. Like you, 700.00 buckarooneys is way out of line. But I can assure you, people will buy them.
  7. Just scroll over the colored dots, and it tells you the CFM's of that river, creek and so on. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ok/nwis/rt
  8. Did you fish today? I noticed the CFM was up today.
  9. It will work for me.
  10. Blood Knot has not been tried yet. I will give it a shot. I have been using Orvis 9ft 6X tapered mono and then attaching 7X Frog hair fluoro. Sometimes when I set the hook, or bringing fish to hand the line breaks at the mono connection. The loop, on the mono leader is cut where it connects to the fluoro. The knot is still there, its just cut in the loop.
  11. I am having trouble with the fluoro tippet cutting the mono leader at the knot connection. I was using the improved clinch and switched to the clinch knot and had better success. But, is there a 100% connection knot for the two. I haven't tried a loop connection, but I am not sure if it will work at all. Any suggestions?
  12. Anytime will work for me. Just need a little notice, more than a day should be sufficient. However, weekdays are less crowded.

    WANTED

Gavin, The 7 wt has been hard to locate. I did find a used one, maybe once or twice, for a very good deal. The kind I like most.
  14. Has anyone fished this rod? I am looking for a great nymphing and dry fly rod.
  15. I think they are busy building extra camping pads for trailers right now? At least that is what it looked like in Zone 3. We drove all over the park since it was our first time there, and they were doing alot of work in the area next to old wood bridge.
  16. Your welcome Greg...Anytime.
  17. Whats up snagged, My brother loves them. However, when he face plants in the river, I laugh my rear off and tell him its a curse you put on them. hahaha Give me a PM when you head back down in the off season, maybe we can snorkel up some of those polished rocks. I'll let you go first though.
  18. Wednesday was the first time for me to fish Bennett Springs. For a state facility, I was impressed. Seems like a really good place for the family to spend some time together. I don't think a weekend trip will ever be in the plans, unless it is in the off season, but I can see me bring the wife and kids down through the week. The crowds were definitely in our favor the first half of the day, but later in the afternoon it started filling up. As for the fishing, we had a very good day. We fished most of Zone 1 all day, stopping only for lunch. 10-15 inch fish were the norm. The top fly was the Primerose and Pearl #18 fished in the faster current. This fly caught many fish. Next was the #10 Olive Bugger, stripping fast. Next was the #12 Black Foam Beetle. This fly caught most fish against the bank and by any cover that was available. Most strikes would come within the first five seconds after hitting the water. I did use a tan San Juan and had a half a dozen fish with it also. I did a little test with tippet materal. While fishing the midge, I tried 6X mono, and 7X fluoro, and had a lot more takes on the 7x fluoro. As for the bugger and the beetle it didn't seem to matter.
  19. As of today...No return phone call or reply to email.
  20. Anyone going to be around?
  21. Bumping you up, fireman. I just wanted to let people know I found a rod.
  22. I am supposed to be recieving a phone call from the TU headquarters. I called Wednesday and left a messsage with Steve Moyer's (sp) voice mail about the Norfork development and the dredging permit on Taneycomo. No phone call as of yet.
  23. As of today, no return phone call. I am going to try again Monday or Tuesday.

    WANTED

    Found one, I think.
  25. Phil, Is this the report you were talking about concerning dredging? If I am reading it right, they can not harm the aquatic bait, because they are going to dredge in the area's where there is only bedrock. So what is the purpose then, for them wanting a permit to dredge where there is bedrock and not loose rock. All I know is, if you disturd the food source, fish will die. No ifs ands or buts.
