  1. Will be on Pomme the end of July with girl friend hoping to catch a few bass and visit the area. Would appreciate any info you are willing to share as we have not been there for more than 10 years. Thank you
  2. Sunday the 20th we held our 32nd annual trout tournament at Lilleys Landing with a variety of results. The winners Jim Waibel, David Oser and Randy Fry had a total weight of 9.60lbs with big fish of 2.26 caught by David Oser on a flicker shad. Second place was Jaeger and son with 3rd the team of Richey,Abden and Rapp. Most of the contestants fished below Fall Creek to Lilleys Landing using jigs, rapalas and live bait and caught nice fish however I chose to go to the landing and caught silver bullets. I did fish the bluffs awhile with a jerkbait in the morning catching numerous browns ranging from 15 to 19 inches. Wow what a fishery we have here and we will be back again next year staying at Lilleys because there is not another place with better people or more helpful. Abundant Thanks to Phil, Marsha and the staff we appreciate all you do for us.
  3. Beautiful brown glad he released it and hopes he gets a replica made. Again congratulations to the man and Duane for putting him on to it.
  4. I have had to be towed before just paying it forward I'm sure he will do same. Hope he gets throttle linkage fixed. Pete
  5. We held our 31st annual tournament March 22 and had a wonderful time thanks to Phil & Marsha Lilley and their staff. Everyone caught fish on Sunday although most were small at best. A variety of baits were used including minnows, jerkbaits, jigs, powerbait and salmon eggs to catch fish but in the end a minnow caught the big brown and jigs caught rainbows for the winning team of John Brengarth and Pete LaBoube. 2nd place consisted of Dean Reagan, Kevin Hyland and Mike Riehn with their fish coming on jerkbaits and jigs. 3rd place were Josh Henry and Rueben Meraz who caught their fish mostly on salmon eggs fished under a bobber (innovative, huh!). I would be remiss if I did not mention that Jaret Peterson caught the "Dink" of the tournament. In closing I want to send a personal "Thank you" to Duane Doty a very helpful gentleman. See ya'll again next year.
  6. Thanks Phil see you next weekend.
  7. i'm sure a lot of people will appreciate the effort. Thank you I want to know how he caught that brown.
  8. Just wondering if you were going to share information on the tournament especially since a 7.30lb brown was caught?
  9. What were the baits most caught on...jigs and colors?
  10. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all at Lilley's and fellow trout fisherpeople especially tournament entrants. I want you to know I am tying some new jigs that are going to catch'em even though I'm a poor fisherman and if that don't work I got the Mojo Monkey hand and Voodoo chicken feet to cast a spell on them ol' trout AIEEEEEEE! See ya'll on the water next year. The Old Cajun
  11. What is the big brown up to in Vince's tournament?
  12. I know you are busy but would like to see smiling faces please!
  13. My partner and I were fortunate to catch a few fish saturday while attempting to avoid being french fries. Needless to say it was a scorcher but we had a great time and meal thanks to the Lilley crew and the Branson police and fire men and women. Oh by the way we were lucky enough to place third in the tournament by using nightcrawlers, jigs and powerbait. I know you are not a fan of bait but it was a tough day Phil I promise to use jigs in January and February.
  14. Great job back reeling that had to be a hoot! Having a lot of trouble hearing you.
  15. Phil I would also like to know when they become available, thank you. Pete
  16. My friends and I have stayed many times at the Landing enjoying each time even under weather conditions that were difficult at best. But you and your wonderful staff have always risen to the occasion and made the trip a success. We hope you have many more years to make great trips for your patrons. Pete
  17. Phil I can't hear it either.
  18. Phil words can't describe how grateful I and the guys are for your effort and the crews too! We always enjoy the stay and camraderie of your place. I will always stay at the Landing when in Branson where else could an old redneck be treated like a king. Thank you again and will see you this summer hopefully. Pete
  19. Needless to say Sunday was a difficult day to fish however the 22 guys that made it were tough and finished. The fish caught were not large by any means but were hard earned. Most were caught with bait and a few with lures. The winning team caught their fish using crankbaits casting and trolling. Second place used a variety of bait and the third place team used everything from Kastmasters, jigs and bait to catch their fish. I wish to thank Phil and the crew for a wonderful time under difficult circumstances. See you all again next March.
  20. Old lures still doing the trick. Congratulations on a dream outing.
  21. What he said plus the people there are the most helpful you will ever find period!
  22. As always you hold a great tournament and the food was fabulous but I must agree the fishing was difficult at best. However we caught more browns than ever which is good news for the future. We fished mainly crankbaits from Cooper Creek down to the bridges but were hard pressed to catch rainbows. Met some interesting people, ate well and will be back to try our luck next year again.
  23. Thank you Phil it is the best post I've read. Well said very well said.
  24. Had a great time fishing with these guys and gals. We fished mostly below Cooper creek with worms and caught fish just no big ones still finished 7th out of 23 boats so we were tickled. Had some great food and even got lucky in the raffle as my partner won the custom rod and I the picture of Brook trout. With the weather and all what a wonderful day. We will be back for sure and thanks for letting us fish with you.
