Show me a stimulator that don't have rubber legs. Or a foam beetle. Or a crane fly. Rubber legs are legal at the trout parks. Been using them for years.

Kinda makes me wonder if the bis lic changed when the last change of ownership took place then.

If I remember right, anytime a new business license is applied for it all starts over. Maybe Laclede county is different.

I wasn't aware that they allowed diving during regular trout season. Unless of course they were working with the DNR. I've watched quite a few people diving it during winter C&R. YouTube has a few videos of it.

Of BIRDS!!!! Not mammals. The only ones dying of lead poisoning are the ones that got it introduced at 3000fps. With the exception of a very few. It's all mostly anti-hunting agenda. I work around lead all the time. I'm familiar with its dangers. But hyperbole over it being introduced by hunters shooting single projectile guns is absurd. I'm done here. You people believe what they are telling you. I know BS when I hear it.

Neither one proves anything in relations to hunters using lead bullets and losing game causing death to other wildlife in a substantial capacity. Cars are more likely to kill wildlife than a bullet left in a unrecovered game animal. Does it raise lead levels?? Sure it does. But not to the levels that do harm to wildlife associated with single projectile hunting guns. How many people do you know that hot lead poisoning from eating wild game their whole life. I know of ZERO. And that includes a lot of people that eat wild game consistently. It may raise their lead blood levels but it doesn't kill them. Geeesh people will buy anything they are told by media. Learn to think for yourselves.

Some fish are always easier to catch Than others. LOL

Retired people can partee any time they want. Us working people have to be selective. LOL

There is gonna be BS wherever you go. Just different BS. Enjoy what you have right now and plan ahead to when you can do all the stuff you wanted to always do. Just don't wait too long.

PBS without the liberal undertones isn't too bad. But the teaching of the uninformed,misinformation ,has to stop. When the nature show said that there were animals dying of lead poisoning because of unrecovered animals being eaten by scavengers I called it BS. That was just a tip of the iceberg. Liberals teaching people that have no clue is just dishonest.

I hear ya Wrench, I admit I like to have modern facilities close but not right on top of me. That way it gives you the option. The way it's going is that you will have no choice.

Careful there Pat, you can be labeled a cynic. I have spent a hundred bucks or so at the lodge eating this year. Beyond that I despise spending any money at the park store. Check that. I did buy a couple of t-shirts. All that the place needs is a D9 Cat to get rid of the concrete along the stream side. Along with a few cabins. I find it kinda funny that we go there to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life yet the powers that be keep making it more " City Like".

I've got my hands full with work right now. I told the boss he has to give me a couple of days off to get down and winterize the camper before it gets too cold. We will see how that goes. The next couple of weekends look busy but I may be able to get down there after that.

I'm sure people are wanting more cabins along the stream and more sidewalks along the stream so people can fish from the bank all along zone 1.

Whatever you do, don't buy flyfishing gear. It is the devil!!!!! You will be addicted for life man. Glo balls of various colors drifted under a strike indicator. Vary your depth before changing colors first. After trying different depths and if that don't work then change colors or flys. One thing about glo- balls is how bad the hook gap is. I twisted the hook to the side a little to open the gap up and it made a huge difference in the amount of fish caught as opposed to just getting bites. I don't fish trout park lures anymore and catch way more fish than I ever did with them. Use 3lb maxima ultra green line. 4 is too heavy and 2 is too light unless you have a real light drag. Most beginners don't have the finesse required to fish 2lb test line.

Don't be fooled by the video crowd. It was packed over the holiday weekend!!!!

Headed down this evening. My brother was thinking the 25th-26th. I can't commit right now. Too much going on at work to plan that far ahead. He was wanting to hit Bennett one day then Montauk the next.
