I have been catching a wad of them while spooning for about 3 years now. You will bring up a rock with several of them attached to it. I dive as well and have found them from Diamond City to the mouth of the Theodosia arm. Places are pretty bad with every rock on the bottom covered with them. We have several native fish that feed on them but I don't think it is possible for them to keep up with the zebra mussle population explosion. I fear what our beloved lakes will be like in 10 years. I don't believe it will be possible to keep them out of the rest of our lakes the way so many people travel from lake to lake, sometimes even during the same day.
