  1. My brother & I were out last weekend went to lower end towards the dam on Saturday & picked up several crapie close to orleans trail area. Then on Sunday went the other way up above Ruark Bluff area & found several that way. I think its like Bob says find the right brush & depth (wherever on the lake) & you'll catch some. We did hit a couple piles that didnt produce much so we moved on to the next. seemed like if they were there you found out quickly. We used only jigs mostly 1/16oz in the 20' deep rang give or take. We did pick up several shorts but seemed like there were definately more keepers than was hitting a couple weeks ago. Good Luck
  2. Hey oneshot FYI. You may already know but if your over Fairfield way you can take 83 south to 82 west to get to osceola. All good asphalt only about 20 minutes. Just go north about 1-1/2 miles on 13 off 82 to get to boat ramp in town or Crows Crossing ramp. If the waters low their tough to get in from but no problems right now. Waters about 4-5' above normal pool.
  3. Are those bass or two-4 fish limits of walleye ?
  4. Any reports from up Smithville way? Havnt made it up yet & was just wondering if anything was happening yet. Been fishin down south mostly. Theres a little action down there but a lot of work for a few fish
  5. Yep made it out Saturday. Same luck for me only two small crappie. Everywhere I tried seemed like there were some small bas hangin out though thats a good sign. Did catch a couple of those in keeper size. No walleye though. NW wind was a bit cold. Water temp was 42 went up to 46 in mouth of Turnback. Next week looks better may have to try further up.
  6. Wondering if anyone has been down to the Greenfield access off CC hwy. Wanted to give it a try this Saturday. Hoping with the cooler temps this week it has'nt iced up. Thanks
  7. put in last saturday at 82 boat ramp no ice but water temps were only about 38 deg. went up river a little past coon creek. only found one little bass on one of the bluffs & accidently snagged 20lb grass carp in one of the deeper holes. pretty good current but dont think they were running out of stockton that day. by looking on the bankline it had recently dropped about a foot. probably try it again in a couple weeks
