  1. My wife and I fished the bank at CC tonight. She caught 2 keeper walleye right of the bat on 1/4 oz orange roadrunner with black and white marabou. We also caught 8 keeper crappie on chartreuse roadrunners with grubs or chartreuse roadrunner with a white slider. Also caught a nice bullhead on white slider, about 22" long. The walleye were 10 ft of the bank in about 3-4 ft of water, the crappie, bullhead, and few small white bass were about 25-30 ft off the bank and would hit the jig as it dropped, or about halfway into the shore if slowly twitched. We forgot our lights so we had to leave at dark, but we caught a lot of fish for the 1 1/2 we fished. Hope this helps! Zac
  2. Anybody been night fishing over lights for crappie yet this year? From what everyone is saying they are biting well and water temps are up. I am planning to get the boat ready for water this thursday and go night fishing Thursday night or Friday if the weather holds out. Just curious if anyone had gone yet. THanks!
  3. Straw, that is terrible. My wife and I actually helped an older gentleman get back up the steep rock bank over there a few weeks ago, I guess the small town values we were raised with aren't found with some others that come down to use the lake. I hope you get to feeling better and hope to see you out there soon. -Zac
  4. My friends and i have caught blue's in Stockton before. I have never caught many but have caught some. I would say 90% of all catfish i catch at Stockton are within 1/4 of a mile from high point ramp. I've seen a bunch of people pull out 20-30 channels from that fishing dock there as well. Chicken livers and shad sides are what i have my best luck with. Hope this helps.
  5. I am not sure about Crappie yet, but I have had several friends say that the white bass bite is on like crazy between the old steel bridge and taylor bridge. If you put in at Aldrich depending on how big your boat is your should be able to get in there with the high water. I took a 14 ft vhull in with no problem. If not we always have luck fishing main lake brush structure between high point and the bona bridge. Hope this helps!
  6. Were you below the dam, or down toward Swan creek? I have fished both pretty hard with no luck. We usually use rogues and other stick baits.
  7. I had terrible luck at Bull Shoals in February and March walleye fishing. Only 1 walleye in 5 or 6 weekends of night fishing. Has the bit picked up yet? Is anyone having any luck? THanks!
  8. Were you way back in the creek? Usually I crappie fish a bunch of main lake brush piles, and the fairly close to the mouth of the Maze. The water has still been pretty cold everywhere on the main lake I've tried.
  9. Definitely, me and a buddy got caught ina T-Storm last year and it was a wild ride to say the least. It really doesn't matter what kind of boat you have on stockton when it is windy that lake gets crazy.
  10. No, we checked the weather before we left and saw it was going to be blowing pretty hard and getting colder, plus the truck we were take had questionalbe wiring for the trailer lights so we stayed home and watched a few basketball games. The lake was so murky and high I just figured we'd try later this week after all this nice weather they are calling for.
  11. I have a 14'Aluminium V-Hull boat in desperate need of a trailer. The one I have was homemade in the 50's or 60's and won't last much longer I am afraid. Does anyone have a trailer that might work and how much are you wanting for it? Thanks! Zac
  12. Considering night fishing over in Maze Creek tonight. Anyone been over there since all this rain? Wondering if it is worth it or not. Usually its okay if the water is a little higher, but with all this cold rain it may be too muddy and cold to catch anything. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!
  13. Yeah there were quite a few guys just south of the cc bridge on the east side so we moved way down through the woods. I will definitely try to get to the ramp side and give it a try. A couple of guys have told me the old bridge point is a good spot to get walleyes, but i have never tried. I might give that a shot as well. With this great weather fish or no fish it is a lot of fun. Zac
  14. Thanks Bob! I actually didn't check the post before we left and we ended up fishing south of the bridge on the east shore. My wife caught 5 or 6 largemouth and i managed a keeper white crappie. I have never fished on the ramp side, but will definitely try next time. We saw a bunch of boats catching crappie in the middle of the channel and a few guys right up the shore caught a monster white bass, probably 18-19" long!! Thanks again! Zac
  15. Bob, My wife are fishing from the shore at stockton tomorrow because my boat is not ready for the lake yet this year. We usually fish south of CC from the shore or across from the ramp at cedar ridge if we shore fish. Which do you think would be more productive right now? I just haven't been out on stockton enough this winter to know where they are going to be more active. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THank you! Zac
  16. We are heading down again this weekend to walleye fish below powersite. I've been down the last 4 weekends and only managed a 21" walleye so far. Hopefully with the 50 and 60 degree temps they are calling for the walleye will take off. I let you know what happens.
