  1. Hey Bill Y, If you had looked, Both Trav and I wrote reports. Maybe if you had taken a moment to read you would have known that the muskies were in deep water.
  2. Ok, Trav was so dissatisfied with Lower Taney that he won’t even write a report on our trip. We were in Branson to work at the “Ranch”. So we didn’t hit the water until around 5 pm. We put in at Rockaway Beach and headed for Bull Island. The water temp was 70 degrees but it was very murky. You could tell that the water had been high for awhile, but was now low. I did catch a 12 inch Black Crappie and from what Trav tells me, that is a really nice size for a Black Crappie. We then floated out to the Flats. Trav mentioned that where we were fishing the water was usually 8 ft deep, but today it was only 6 ft deep. I did not see any bait fish at all. The only activity I saw was from Gar and Carp. We then boated over to Boston Bluff. The most interesting part about fishing there today was the story about the “Gold Mine and the pirate ship” that Trav told me. However, the water was very clear itself but the top had a lot of gunk (don’t know what it is) and pollen floating on it. On a bright note, the wild life there was really neat. I even was able to see an Alligator Gar up close. Being from New England, I have never seen one before. I know this report is not as well done as Trav’s reports are, but I felt one should be done regardless of our out come.

Donna, Thanks for the tip. I was wondering what I should do. I know we couldn't go ashore everytime I needed to relieve myself. Again, thank you. Ann
  5. wants to be fishing.

  6. My question was not whether or not you are smarter than a 5th grader.
  7. I have a question, as I am quite new to the site. If this is a fishing site for people who love to fish, why attack each other about opinions? We all have the same goal, get fish into the boat. What a person chooses to do with it after that is up to them. I do understand and will practise catch and release, but that is my opinion. Another thing, why do people always have to bring God into a subject when they want to make themselves seem more right then another person? Think about all the animals that are on the "gointg extinct" list or those that are now extinct. Man has not been a very good stuart of animals. So if God put man over the fish, maybe we should take better care to make sure that my grandson will be able to have the same luck we all enjoy on these waters. Now I am sure that being new, I will be critized for stating my opinion, but we are all out there because we enjoy fishing then coming back to our computers to talk about our adventures. Is it possible to do it without attacking each other?
  8. Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Ann. I live in Ozark. I have not been fishing since I was a kid. I hail from Massachusetts. I am picking up the rod and reel again, but have a lot to learn. I have a great teacher name Trav and hope to one day soon be able to hold my own on the site. So you may not hear a lot from me, but I will be using the site to learn what I can. I have already learned a bit from watching the boards so thank you. Ann
