I've been a MU FANatic for over 30 years and this is by far the deepest team I remember. It'll be nice not to worry so much if someone has foul trouble. We haven't had a REALLY good big man since Stepo. Now we got 6-11, 6-10, and 6-9 and all look at this point like they can shoot and catch AND jump!! Tonights game showed the depth and I think we'll see the scoring vary from game to game. I just hope that we don't have a bunch of guys that all think they're a Anothy Peeler scorer. Course if they are that just might be a good problem to have. May take them a while to gel and figure each other out. They'll be much much better by the end of the year. Next week will be interestin with the posibility of playing Louieville and Duke. Gonna be a fun year.

Do hooks have to be barbless? I have starting smashing the barbs on a lot of my flies but not all. Are most useing barbless now?

Drov down and fished Taney Last week. Got there around 5 p.m.Thursday and fished till 10. Caught some bows and a couple browns Nothing big but fun. Fished Friday and again caught some bows but don't remeber catching any browns. caught one bow approx 20-21" long but slender. Buddy caught one 4-5 lbs but was foul hooked. Real nice fish. Got to witness a guy get a bow to the bank in the 10 lb range. Giant fish. Big Browns-NO worth the drive-ABSOLUTELY Wrath....Did you go??

Sounds like an excellent hunt. Some of my best bowhunts ever I never released an arrow.

I noticed he never put the fish on the reel. Why??

I sure hope it is. we're driving 5+ hours one way to find out.

Thanks for the report Jerod!! Sound like a good trip!! Wonder how the others in this thread did?? we're headed down there this weekend. Doesn't sound like the weather is gonna cooperate so maybe the fish will.

Sorry laker67, I was trying to be sarcastic in stating that the browns will be gone the 25th thru 29th. That way the stream would be less crowded for the time period we are going to be there.

Good to hear. I also hear that for some reason the browns clear out between the 25th thru the 29th of october which is good as thats the weekend we're going down!!

Goin down towards the end of October. Phil- have the large ones started showing themselves??? Lancer- i got some nice flies to throw from the fly swap along with a new rod to throw them with. can't wait.

Nope not Issac.... It was me!!!! We decided to fish Taneycomo this weekend and I think it was the only weekend all summer it Rained!!

Wadeing info is what i'm interested in. Lookin at last week in oct but Nov sounds good also. Keep the opinions coming. I can't decide. Has there been any movement with the browns yet?

......... had 1 weekend from now till xmas to fish Taney for browns( never have fished Taney in the fall) and had to book it now.. when would that be?? I know there is no magic book to get this answer in but i'm hopeing some of u guys that have fished there for years can help me out. Thanks
