  2. Hey Jeremy....Ya sure know how to make a fella want to go fishing! LOL It's the stories like this that make me wonder why I still reside in Mississippi...arrrrgh
  3. I gotta get back up ya'lls way....I'm having withdrawls
  4. Thanks RiverRunner...all the info I can gather is helpful in making a decision on where to look for a weekend/retirement spot of land. Thanks again, M.L.
  5. I will tell you....them big bass plug hooks don't come out so easy...arrrgh. I have had numerous hooks in my hands and arms, my brother even hooked me in the head with a rooster tail when we were younger. Some you can push on thru and cut the barb off to get out. Then there were a couple that required a doctors help. One of my friends was crappie fishing with me last year and hung into a big catfish as he was reeling him in the hook came out and shot thru the air right into his eyebrow...ouch!! We had to go to the doc and get that one removed for fear of damaging his eye. Be careful out there.
  6. Do you fish down that way any at all, vonreed? If so is it pretty good fishing?
  7. I was wondering if anyone lives in the area of Mountain View, AR. I am looking at buying some land there for a weekend/retirement spot and would like to know how the fly fishing is in the area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. GSMNP = Great Smoky Mountains National Park Phil, I went out with Jeremy Hunt and Yes, I had a blast and learned alot about casting and techniques also. I was very satisfied with the trip and the people at your place. Here's a photo from last years trip.
  9. Just found the forum and wanted to say hello to everyone. Great looking site! I am an amateur fly fisherman, got started in fly fishing about 2 years ago. Fished up at Taneycomo last summer (hired a guide thru Phil) and just got back from the GSMNP in TN this past weekend. I am looking foward to getting back to the Ozarks to do some more fly fishing. Anyhow...great to be be here and look foward to enjoying the site. Regards, Mike W.
